I live where new media meets old. I love social media, and I collect books. I love digital art, and I’m a crafter. I love that new technology can mix with traditional practices (in communications and in life) to make your job easier.
I have loved learning for my entire life, and I constantly seek out opportunities to learn new things. I am constantly reading, whether it is books, magazines or blogs. I am lucky enough to work at a Big Ten research institution, where I’m surrounded by people who love learning as much as I do.
I’m a communications and public relations professional at Michigan State University.* I received both my degrees from MSU, and am a lifelong supporter of the school.
In my spare time I volunteer in the community, participate in various community organizations, and mentor youth. My interests include sports (Go Spartans!), photography, literature, cinema, architecture, popular culture, paper crafts, interior and graphic design, and American history. I am very active in social media (both for work and as a personal interest.)
*Though I am an employee, the views and opinions expressed in this blog are my own. They do not necessarily reflect those of the university or the organizations of which I am a member.
