The SeaWorld team testing process is to hypothesize, prototype, inject the prototype with Optimizely, execute and measure tests, refine designs, implement designs, re-validate with A/B tests, then cut traffic over to the new design. Best practices include starting at the bottom of the conversion funnel, test in lower traffic areas, start with big compound tests and then decouple if necessary, use separate pages instead of component swaps for ease of test setup, deploy darkly, phase content rollouts, and test frequently.
